Backup Servers

The Faculty backup system synchronises live data to a mirror copy on a backup server. Each filesystem has a corresponding copy on a backup server. In general, the backup servers are switched off to save power when they aren't carrying out a backup - you may have to wakeup a backup server to access the backups. The list below shows every filesystem which is backed up - if you click on one of the filesystems, it will list the corresponding backup server and tell you its status. If the server is powered down, it will send a wakeup request. It usually takes 2 or 3 minutes to wakeup a server - you can refresh the web page to get an update on the status of the server.
