Alternative routes of entry

Students can enter the University via alternative routes. The Lifelong Learning Centre actively promotes  opportunities to wider audiences from adult, part-time and disadvantaged and under-represented groups.

There are also various other routes that students can take to enter a University degree programme. Access to Leeds is a widening access scheme which guarantees special consideration for students whose personal circumstances may affect their ability to demonstrate talent and potential through grades alone.

Further information on the scheme is available here.

Care leavers are eligible for additional support as they enter the University and students can also come to University having used Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
