Summary

The Faculty of Environment engages strongly with the Equality and Inclusion agenda, pushing for equal opportunities and an inclusive culture. We work to support the University's Equality and Inclusion strategy and policy on Dignity and Mutual Respect at the Faculty level and beyond. This page outlines some areas in which we work, the progress made so far, and plans for the future.

Athena SWAN

Faculty of Environment has been awarded the Athena SWAN bronze award for our work on advancing gender equality across the three schools. The Athena SWAN charter and awards seek to identify, promote and share good practice in advancing equality across genders in academia. This means analysing the journey from undergraduate applications through postgraduate study right up to the recruitment and retention of professorial staff and identifying how to improve.

You can read more about our current award and plans for the future on our Athena SWAN page.
